Over-Fished Ocean Strategy: Sustainability as Re-Invention • BLED, SLOVENIA

Author, consultant, and business leader, Dr. Nadya Zhexembayeva speaks to the essence of sustainability as re-invention. Focusing on the intersection of strategy, change management, and sustainability, Nadya offers the opportunity to explore “powering up innovation for a resource-deprived world”.

Utilizing Nayda’s current research and organizational case studies (with a visit from one of her clients) we will address questions such as, how do we move from – green to smart, add-on to embedded sustainability, and beyond sustainability to thriving? Clearly there is a new reality mindset emerging that challenges our assumptions and models of growth.

Our location choice mirrors the work we are undertaking. Ljubljana (2016 European Green City Award) and Bled are leading a national movement towards integrating modernity, cultural heritage, and sustainability. Our host, IEDC is well known for its innovations in how management and leadership development is conceptualized, designed, and delivered with special effort given to integrating social, environmental and ethical issues into its programs.
